Reunited!
For more than six years, three siblings staying in our Home Care in Laguna have been separated from their family in Negros Province. Throughout their stay in our Home Care, they didn’t receive any visit from their father or sister. Nevertheless, the children were very cooperative and obedient under our care.
Through the initiative of our coach, Leo Arnaiz, we were able to find a way to send the children back to their hometown for them to be reunited with their family. The children flew back to Negros last May and met their father and sister whom they have not seen for the longest time. The little girl in the picture doesn’t even have a memory of her childhood back home. She considers Visions of Hope as her home ever since.
The family had a great time bonding and catching up with one another. Although it was only for a short time, the children were very happy for the opportunity to go back to their roots and catch up with their father and sister. Indeed, it was a short but sweet vacation and reunion of the Leyte Family- a vacation that will forever be embedded in their hearts. Due to the financial state of the family, their father decided to send them back to us to finish their schooling. The family is very grateful for the way CCT and VOH have taken good care of the children. They even excel in their studies and in sports, bringing back to our home awards and medals from different sports competitions. The oldest one, John Rey is even on the top of his class and have received academic achievement recognition from the school where he is enrolled in. Truly with God, anything is possible if we continue to believe.
